Contract Specialist II

Our customers include civilian and defense federal government agencies.
Design to Delivery Inc is looking for a Contract Specialist to support a government customer in Washington, D.C.
Duties to be carried out include, but are not limited to:
Provide pre-solicitation activities, solicitation, evaluation, award, administration, and closeout of contracts and interagency agreements
Employ subject matter expertise and assist end users in defining their needs, advises new options and the best solutions for the need
Maintain paper and electronic files according to policy and use electronic platforms including the agency’s enterprise resource planning system (PRISM) and the Federal Procurement Data System – Next Generation (FPDS-NG)
Retrieve responsibility data from various Government websites
Prepare various pre-award, award, and post-award documents, such as synopsis, solicitations, amendments, contracts, modifications, interagency agreements, justifications and approvals, and pre-award surveys for responsible prospective contractors, memorandums for award, source selection documents, deficiency notices, terminations, and other acquisition-related documents
Review invoices, liability insurance and other contractor-submitted documents for completeness and accuracy
Assemble contract files in hardcopy or electronic format as required
Must have a Bachelor’s degree plus five years of relevant experience
Experience using financial management systems (e.g. PRISM, FPDS-NG)
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to interact professionally with senior staff and senior government officials, exhibiting decorum and discretion at all times
Individual must be self-motivated, a fast learner and able to complete tasks with minimal direction and supervision
